Next week, those searching for employment opportunities in Liverpool are being encouraged to attend the Liverpool City Council’s Job Fair. The event is taking place on Monday 10th February at Central Library where numerous employers will be present and looking to hire right away. In coordination with INGEUS and Liverpool in Work, job seekers can drop-in at any point from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM to speak with recruiters directly. The fair contains roles from various sectors: social care, Early Years, construction, hospitality and security.
Among the attendees will be Sodexo for ACC Arena Liverpool, Randstad for school and education-related roles, Aramark for Bramley Moore Stadium, Dovehaven Care, Prime Seal in construction, Compass for hospital roles, Liverpool City Council, and the Honey Pot Nursery Group. Furthermore, several support organisations will also be present, including the National Careers Service, who will manage CV writing workshops, the Business and IP Centre offering guidance on self-employment, and the Liverpool City Be More team, who will provide advice on apprenticeships for young job seekers. Representatives from Households into Work, Citizens Advice, and the council’s benefits maximisation group will also attend to provide advice on welfare problems.
Liverpool City Council’s Cabinet Member for Employment, Educational Attainment and Skills, Cllr Lila Bennett encouraged job seekers of all stages to join the Job Fair and partake in discussions with their specialists. “Wherever you might be on your job-seeking journey – I’d encourage you to get along to Central Library next week to have a friendly chat with all our experts,” said Bennett. “This event is set to be a real one-stop shop for jobs and careers,” Bennett said, and added that the range of vacancies available was impressive and successful job seekers might well be fortunate enough to find rewarding employment.
The event promises to provide Liverpool locals with a day of prospective opportunity, and those attending may return home with newfound job prospects. Job seekers will have the ability to discuss prospective employment face-to-face with recruiters, attend informative workshops and receive fruitful advice, and hopefully, leave with positive career prospects
