All Saints Sheffield stabbing victim's family pay tribute to teenager


A family is mourning the loss of their loved one following a tragic incident on Monday at a school in Sheffield. Harvey Willgoose, a 15-year-old boy, was killed at All Saints Catholic High School. South Yorkshire Police have taken a 15-year-old boy into custody on suspicion of murder.

Sophie, Harvey’s sister, expressed in a Facebook post how much she loved and missed him. His mother, Caroline, shared images of them together on TikTok with captions expressing her loss. Parents and pupils have visited the school gates to share their thoughts of the student, describing Harvey as a “proper nice boy” who brought “joy and laughter to everyone who knew him.”

The Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane ground has also received a number of floral tributes in remembrance of Harvey. The club spokesperson shared their condolences to the family and friends of Harvey, and offered their sympathies to the affected community.

The police remained outside the school gates on Tuesday, during which parents and pupils alike continued to bring flowers and cards, attempting to process the devastating news. While school would reopen on Thursday as informed by the officials, many parents showed their reluctance to send their children back, with one parent stating he would wait to gauge their children’s emotions before sending them back.

A lockdown procedure had previously been instituted at the school on 29 January due to threats of physical violence, according to a message sent to parents. One pupil, Gracie, shared her experience of being caught up in the incident from her perspective, revealing that she had previously experienced a lockdown.
