This week is bringing with it many entertainment releases, including the launch of a new TV series, album release from a popular singer, and a world-renowned video game celebrating its 25th anniversary. Do not miss any of the exciting updates this week has to offer.
Holly Willoughby, TV presenter and personality, is co-hosting a new series called “Celebrity Bear Hunt,” starting this week. Twelve celebrities, including singer Mel B, and famous chef Big Zuu, will be placed in the wilds of Costa Rica and face challenges. However, there is a unique twist in the show: those who do not meet the standards will be tracked down by survival expert Bear Grylls for elimination.
Olly Alexander, former Years & Years singer, is launching his new album “Polari” this week and it’s his first release as a solo artist. The album features sounds of the LGBTQ+ community in the 80s, including iconic sounds such as those of Pet Shop Boys and Erasure. Alexander has embraced the rich history and culture of Polari and was inspired to make music based on it. The album is set to release on Friday, and the singer is hosting several acoustic shows along with Q&A events to promote the album.
On an entirely different note, British UFC champion Leon Edwards is opening up to discussions around his personal life and experiences. He will be talking about various issues ranging from politics, his time living in Jamaica, his arrest for carrying a knife, and the loss of his father at a young age. Edwards will be a guest on Louis Theroux’s podcast and will also speak about former US President Donald Trump’s involvement in UFC.
Finally, “The Sims” video game is turning 25 years old this week, and the game’s developer, Maxis, has several plans to mark the occasion. Maxis has already released The Sims 1 and 2 with new updates for PC players. Alongside these releases, there will be a 25-hour livestream with big celebrities celebrating the milestone. Margot Robbie will produce a film inspired by the universe, and Katy Perry has recorded music in Simlish, the gibberish language spoken in the game.
