Newspaper headlines: Heathrow's third runway and London 'gold shortage'


Thursday’s newspapers have largely focussed on Chancellor Rachel Reeves’ plans for boosting the UK economy. Her proposals include support for a third runway at Heathrow airport and creating a tech hub between Oxford and Cambridge. The Metro, The i paper and The Daily Mirror present a positive view of the news, whilst The Guardian, The Daily Mail and The Daily Telegraph have a more critical take. The latter paper quotes Ryanair’s CEO who predicts the Heathrow expansion will face years of delays.
