Lord David Cameron, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, was one of the first people on the scene of a deadly Ferrari crash. The accident took place on the B1108 Watton Road in Marlingford, Norfolk, on Saturday afternoon, resulting in the death of the driver, 31-year-old Benjamin Gladman. Gladman’s Ferrari left the road and crashed into a tree. According to reports, Cameron had been on a nearby shooting weekend and came across the collision.
The Met Police issued a statement saying that Norfolk Police had confirmed Cameron’s close protection officers providing first aid “immediately” following the collision. The former Conservative PM was reportedly present at the scene along with other witnesses.
The Ferrari’s passenger, a woman in her 30s, was taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. She remains in hospital as of the time of writing this article. The incident led to the closure of the B1108 Watton Road until 9 p.m., while emergency services cleared the scene.
The police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the manner of driving prior to it to come forward and speak to them. Lord Cameron served as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 2010 to 2016, when he resigned after losing the Brexit referendum
