A teenager has been sentenced to life imprisonment for murder after a mobile phone heist went tragically wrong. Harleigh Hepworth, aged 17, was fatally stabbed in a Wolverhampton park in March after meeting two teenagers who stole his phone. Jovarn Esterine, aged 18, was found guilty of manslaughter and will spend six years and 43 days in prison. The other teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was found guilty of robbery, having a bladed article, and murder. He will serve a minimum of 18 years in prison.
Harleigh and a friend met up with the two teenagers in West Park after they claimed they needed to borrow their phones.
