Ceredigion: Man charged with attempted murder of baby


A 27-year-old man is due to appear in court charged with attempted murder after an infant was found with critical injuries. Police were alerted to concerns for the welfare of the child and attended a property in Y Ferwig, in Ceredigion, Wales on Wednesday. The infant was taken to hospital where it remains in a critical condition.

Dyfed-Powys Police have charged Rhydian Jamieson, who resides in Cwm Cou, near Newcastle Emlyn, with attempted murder. He is currently in police custody and will appear at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Authorities have not released any further information about the infant or the circumstances that led to its critical injuries. Investigations are ongoing and anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the police.
