Jimmy Mizen's killer Jake Fahri recalled to prison


A man who was convicted of murder has been recalled to prison for publishing rap music that boasts about his crime, according to the Probation Service. In 2009, Jake Fahri threw a large glass dish, which shattered and severed an artery in the neck of 16-year-old Jimmy Mizen at a bakery in London. Fahri was released from prison on licence in June 2023 after serving a life sentence for the killing. However, it has been reported that the 35-year-old has breached his bail conditions.

The Probation Service has said that Fahri’s recall was initiated after he was found to have breached his licence conditions. All offenders who are released on licence are subject to strict conditions, and if they break the rules, they can be recalled to prison. The service has also issued a statement, expressing its sympathy to Mizen’s family, who have been forced to see their son’s murderer boasting about his violent crime.

Margaret Mizen, Jimmy’s mother, who was appointed MBE for her charitable work since her son’s murder, spoke to the media on Thursday, describing the rap lyrics as “absolutely horrendous”.
