As the British Academy’s shortlists often provide a strong indicator for the Oscars, last year’s top six categories saw matching winners between the two ceremonies. Although there is no consensus on who will win best picture at this year’s Oscars, The Brutalist, Emilia Pérez, Anora, Conclave and Wicked have been tipped by different pundits for the top prize.
The Bafta Film Awards, hosted by David Tennant, will take place on 16 February at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
