Kelyan Bokassa, a 14-year-old boy from London, was stabbed to death on a bus in south-east London on Tuesday afternoon. His mother, Mary Bokassa, spoke tearfully about her son and his passions, including music, football, and caring for those around him.
In an interview with the BBC, Ms Bokassa said her son was “very caring” and loved to cook for his friends. She also highlighted his artistic abilities and love for music. Kelyan died shortly after the attack, which occurred on a 472 double-decker bus on Woolwich Church Street.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, but police detectives are working to identify and apprehend those responsible. Responding to the scene were police, paramedics, and the London Air Ambulance.
