Palace sources report that King Charles is deeply saddened by the death of British man Edward Pettifer, who was killed in the vehicle attack that took place in New Orleans on New Year’s Day. Pettifer, aged 31, was among 14 people killed in the incident, and the stepson of Alexandra Pettifer, once known as Tiggy Legge-Bourke, who was nanny to Prince William and Prince Harry when they were children. In response, the King has been in touch with Mr Pettifer’s family to express his condolences. Kensington Palace states that Prince Harry has also been informed, but will not publicly comment on the news.
