This year’s Boxing Day saw numerous swimmers take to the frigid waters of the North Sea, as captured in stunning aerial photographs. Despite the icy conditions, many participants donned their festive hats and jumpers to take part in the North Norfolk Beach Runners’ Dip at Cromer. The event included a 20-minute fun run, providing an opportunity for even more people to take part in the cold water challenge.
Not to be outdone, several other brave souls participated in the Aldeburgh Boxing Day Swim, which supports the RNLI and Make A Wish foundation. The Suffolk event, which originated in 1988, has become an annual tradition for many local residents. Despite chilly temperatures, participants were in high spirits and proud to raise funds for deserving causes.
Event organizer Paul Rosher noted that the Boxing Day swims are beloved by many for their festive atmosphere and charitable purpose.
