Bushey crossbow deaths: Kyle Clifford pleads not guilty


A man has appeared in the Cambridge Crown Court via a video link from HMP Belmarsh, denying the murder of a mother and two of her daughters in a crossbow and knife attack conducted at their residence. Kyle Clifford, 26 from Enfield, North London, has also denied two counts of possessing an offensive weapon and false imprisonment. John Hunt, a BBC racing commentator, lost his wife Carol Hunt, 61, and daughters Hannah Hunt, 28, and Louise Hunt, 25, in the attack in Bushey, Hertfordshire, on 9 July 2021. Clifford is facing a revised charge of rape, related to Louise Hunt, to which he is yet to respond. The defendant is likely to face trial on 3 March 2022, and has been remanded in custody.

Clifford appeared before Judge Andrew Goymer, who is likely to oversee the trial and scheduled a provisional date for it.
