How two rival crime families turned Glasgow into a 'war zone'

The feud between the Daniel and the Lyons clans still simmers and over the past decade several men have lost their lives as a result of the violence.

Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Teams continue to work tirelessly to target the individuals and groups involved.

Assistant Chief Constable Steve Johnson said: “These groups believe themselves to be above the law, seeking to benefit through the sale of drugs and the misery and harm that causes.”

“The people of Scotland have made it clear that this is unacceptable and we will continue to pursue these criminals in a bid to keep our communities safe.”
