The front pages of UK newspapers are covering a range of topics today. The website was one of 50 others flagged by Microsoft as part of a “veiled global network of CCP news websites.”
In other news, The Observer is critical of Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s plans to allow developers to convert office buildings into flats without planning permission, saying the move will result in “a new wave of slum housing.” On the same front page, the paper also reports on the “hidden archive” of war crimes committed during the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria, amassed by a team of Syrians and a war crimes investigator who risked their lives to gather over a million documents of evidence.
The Sunday Express leads with Brexit coverage, quoting Boris Johnson as saying that the government “must be stopped” from “reshackling” the UK to Brussels, and stating that Keir Starmer poses a threat to Brexit. Additionally, the Sunday Mirror has uncovered a “hidden scandal” related to homelessness. The charity reports that more than 1,000 women are homeless, almost double the number reported by the government.
Finally, to bring a lighter note, Martin Roberts of popular UK television show Homes Under The Hammer tells The Daily Star about a “spooky house” he and his crew visited while filming, where a lightbulb mysteriously broke.
