Two children hurt in Christmas market car incident in Chipping Sodbury


A car accident occurred at a Christmas market in Chipping Sodbury near Bristol on Sunday, where a man believed to be in his 80s collided with pedestrians. The South Western Ambulance Service was contacted regarding the crash at 11:58 GMT. Two young children, one of which was a baby were taken to the hospital after sustaining injuries. Despite a large emergency response on the scene, no one is currently thought to have been seriously injured.

An air ambulance, five ambulances, and other resources were immediately dispatched to the market. The market organizers released a statement on Facebook, saying the event would not be cancelled. They have also asked people not to take photos of the accident, stating that they are working with the emergency services to ensure that those in need are provided with proper assistance.
