Gregg Wallace, presenter of the popular TV show MasterChef, is facing allegations of misconduct and inappropriate behavior by 13 women. Among those 13 women is former BBC Newsnight host Kirsty Wark. Wallace confronted these allegations as he stepped back from his television role in light of the BBC’s inquiry into the allegations of sexual misconduct. The British newspaper, The Daily Telegraph, reported the story, and their findings led to Wallace’s removal from the show. The accusations include inappropriate behavior and sexualized comments.
Sir Rod Stewart, a pop music icon, accused Wallace of humiliation. Calling him a “tubby, bald bully,” Stewart went on to criticize Wallace for his conduct towards musician Surge Thorgerson on MasterChef. Wallace is facing complaints from 13 individuals, including Wark, his former colleague.
The Mirror reported that Wallace “was probed over sexual comments,” adding that he had made sexually inappropriate jokes and boasted of his conduct, leading to 13 complaints filed against him. Sir Rod Stewart even claimed that Wallace humiliated his wife, Penny Lancaster, and made her cry. In light of the recent revelations, Wallace decided to take a break from his role on the show while an inquiry into all such allegations is conducted.
The Guardian reported on an important vote in Parliament over assisted dying legislation, which had become a hot-button issue. Kim Leadbeater, the MP behind the bill, made an impassioned plea to her colleagues, urging them to stand behind the various forms of assisted dying proposals, saying that it was an essential form of body autonomy.

Their polling found that the majority of adults in the UK (54%) were in favor of the new legislation, whereas 16% were opposed to it.
