The UK Ministry of Defence, who owns the bases, has stated that “we take threats seriously and maintain robust measures at defence sites”.
RAF Mildenhall provides a home to the USAF’s 100th Air Refuelling Wing, whilst RAF Lakenheath holds USAF F-35A and F-15E fighter jets. RAF Feltwell is mainly concerned with logistics and provides housing for personnel. The USAF advised individuals in the area to report any suspicious activity to local police or security forces
