Storm Bert: Video captures moment Tenbury Wells floods


The floods in Tenbury Wells continue to cause chaos as the Kyre Brook rose and caused a wall in the town centre to collapse. The local residents were shocked as the waters quickly spread and rescue workers can be heard telling people to “get back” in order to ensure their safety.

Currently, there have been no reports of any injuries in the town, however, more heavy rain and flooding is expected to hit the area soon. The region is still struggling to cope with the endless rain that has plagued the UK over the recent weeks.

The floods in Tenbury Wells have been caused by the recent Storm Bert which has brought strong winds, rain and thunder across the country. A yellow weather warning has been put in place for western parts of Scotland, Wales, south east England and Northern Ireland.

Emergency services are on high alert and residents are being asked to stay away from the affected areas. This is just one of many instances of flooding caused by the heavy rainfall which has affected many communities across the country. The UK is bracing itself for more bad weather and residents are being urged to be vigilant and stay safe
