Joe Freeman, a student, was inspired to compete and posted his outfit on Instagram. Freeman also got a haircut the day before the contest and declared that he was “going all out to win.” James Dunley, age 22, and his father Arthur travelled from Telford, Shrops, to compete. James remarked on his similarities to Cillian Murphy and his love for the series, which follows the post-First World War escapades of a Birmingham crime syndicate.
