Glasgow Wonka experience creator put on sex offenders register


Billy Coull, the man responsible for the disappointing Willy Wonka event in Glasgow earlier this year, has been placed on the sex offenders register. Coull was found guilty of abusive behavior after bombarding a woman with explicit images and messages, referring to himself as a “wolf” and her as his “prey.” Despite the victim’s requests to stop, he continued to message her from a Facebook account under a false name, as well as on Snapchat and WhatsApp.

Coull, a former charity worker, admitted to the offence during his hearing, claiming that the backlash from the Wonka event had negatively impacted his mental health. The now-infamous event, widely criticized for being poorly organized, was advertised with fantasy images of Wonka’s sweet-themed worlds but delivered an “abandoned and empty warehouse” devoid of the promised magical experience.
