Rachel Reeves, the shadow chancellor, has made a speech to executives in London where she urged regulators to take more risks with the financial industry to promote economic growth. While speaking to the City’s Mansion House, Reeves criticised the post-2008 crash rules as being too cautious to the extent that they have hampered growth. Criticism around the NCHI has grown louder with demands for the police to focus on more serious crimes.
