Two suspects have been arrested in connection with an explosion that killed a seven-year-old boy and a 35-year-old man. The incident took place in early hours of 16 October in Benwell, Newcastle. The explosion which ripped apart the properties in the center was followed by debris falling on the ground. The arrested men include two individuals aged in their 30s and one aged in his 50s. All three are suspected of two counts of manslaughter and cannabis production. The suspects are currently in police custody.
According to Northumbria Police, the investigations are ongoing to find out the cause of the explosion. The officers are urging the public to come forward with any information that could aid the investigation. Archie York and Jason Laws were the two men who lost their lives in the explosion incident.
