The crime occurred on October 17, while Stokes was away in County Durham’s Castle Eden. Stokes emphasized his target is to find the culprits and prevent them from acting again, not only getting back his belongings. “Many of those items have real sentimental value for me and my family,” Stokes mentioned. Stokes emphasized that what was most heartbreaking about the situation was that it happened while his children and wife were present in the property. The family is relieved they returned, finding them due to the situation moderately impacted.
