Slough police have confirmed that two men have been arrested after a violent attack on a dog that led to its death. The incident, which happened on Burnham Lane on the 29th of September, saw the animal, believed to be an XL bully, attacked intentionally, leading to fatal injuries. The breed of the dog that was attacked is yet to be confirmed, but it was taken for emergency treatment, where it ultimately died from its injuries.

Two men, aged 20 and 22, have been arrested on Friday the 1st of October on suspicion of multiple charges, including criminal damage, causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, possession of class B drugs with intent to supply, and possession of an offensive weapon. Both the suspects are from Slough, and they have been released on police bail until January.

Though the authorities are investigating the matter, the police have not released any further information or any details about the suspects or if any other individuals were involved in the incident. Animal welfare groups have condemned the attack and have called for stricter laws to protect animals and stricter punishments for those who engage in such crimes.

The Slough authorities have urged anyone with any information that could assist in the investigation to come forward and help bring those responsible to justice. The case has once again highlighted the need for more significant protection for animals and has sparked a renewed conversation regarding animal rights and welfare laws
