Man's hunt to expose Mohamed Al Fayed sexual abuse

Mohamed Al Fayed, the billionaire owner of Harrods, has been accused of rape and sexual assault by multiple women. One man, Keaton Stone, helped to expose these allegations after his then-fiancée, Sophia, disclosed to him that she had been a victim of Al Fayed’s. Stone spent years gathering evidence and speaking with women around the world, leading to the creation of a documentary titled “Al Fayed: Predator at Harrods.”

Sophia, who had worked as a personal assistant for Al Fayed after starting at Harrods when she was 19, told Stone in 2018 that she had been groomed, assaulted, and nearly raped by the businessman between 1988 and 1991. Her experience became the catalyst for Stone’s journey to expose Al Fayed’s actions, which included the harassment and assault of multiple women in various locations.

Stone noted that many of these women were unable to leave their positions due to threats and intimidation, and he hopes that the documentary and subsequent attention to the issue will help ensure those who enabled Al Fayed’s actions will be held accountable. Harrods has apologized for failing “employees who were his victims.”

Since the documentary’s release, Stone and his wife have been inundated with additional survivors coming forward with their own stories of assault by Al Fayed. Stone estimates that there are now more than 100 survivors. While Al Fayed died in 2023, Stone remains committed to ensuring that the world knows the truth about his actions and those who enabled them, for the “greater good and for all the other survivors.
