Norfolk police have charged three people with the murder of a 19-year-old man from London who was found dead at a flat in Norwich. Kalvin Taylor’s body was found on Lefroy Road in the Mile Cross area of the city on 21 September; police believe that he lay undiscovered for eight days. He died from a single chest wound. Four people in total have now been arrested: Leon Bangura, aged 22, of Old Kent Road, London; Adam Dugdale, 55, of Shorncliffe Avenue, Norwich; and Carrie-Anne Hall, 51, of Lodge Breck, Norwich. All of these individuals have been charged with murder. Matthew Holmes, 51, of Bowthorpe Road, Norwich is charged with assisting an offender. The accused are due to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on 3 October.
Taylor’s mother released a statement thanking the police, members of the public and the local community for their help in trying to find her son. She described Kalvin as “a son, a grandson, a brother, a cousin and a friend to us all.”
The charges against Leon Bangura also extend to being concerned with the supply of class A drugs, possession of a bladed article, possession with intent to supply and threatening another person with an offensive weapon. All four accused have been remanded in police custody.
