Three men charged over £1.2m cannabis haul in Irvine


Police have made a significant discovery in North Ayrshire after seizing cannabis worth over £1 million. The discovery was made on Wednesday at around 12:30 pm in Bridgegate, Irvine.

According to police estimates, the street value of the drug is between £1.2 and £1.8 million. Following the discovery, three men, aged 38, 30, and 29, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

All three men appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday where they were charged with drug offenses. Police have confirmed that reports on the case have been submitted to the procurator fiscal.

The police have not provided any further details on the discovery; however, it remains a significant accomplishment in the fight against drug trafficking in the UK.
