Elon Musk hits back after being shunned from UK summit

Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest person, has responded after not receiving an invite to the UK government’s International Investment Summit. It is understood that he was excluded due to his social media activity during the riots last month. Mr Musk owns or runs X, Tesla, and SpaceX. He is a frequent guest at the equivalent summit in France. In July, ahead of the Olympics earlier this summer, he attended a three-hour dinner with top executives with President Emmanuel Macron. Under his ownership of X, the social media network, Mr Musk lifted the ban on far-right figures, including the Britain First party.

According to Bloomberg, Mr Musk’s net worth is currently estimated to be approximately $228bn, mostly based on his holdings in Tesla, where he owns more than 13%. Despite his wealth, Mr Musk has expressed his opinions on a wide range of topics through his platform.
