Meta, the company behind Instagram and Facebook, has announced that a number of celebrities, including Dame Judi Dench and John Cena, will be the new voice options for its AI chatbot. Other celebrity voices, such as those of Awkwafina, Keegan Michael Key, and Kristen Bell, will also be available. Additionally, a feature will be added that allows users to edit photos with voice commands. According to Zuckerberg, incorporating voice commands into the AI chatbot will make communication with machines more natural.
The company also unveiled the first prototype of Meta’s augmented-reality glasses, Orion, during the conference. Users will be able to interact with the glasses through hand-tracking, voice commands, and a wrist-based interface. The Quest 3S, an entry-level version of Meta’s mixed-reality headsets, was also announced at the conference. The Quest 3S will cost $300 (£225).
