Yellow weather warnings have been issued by the Met Office for parts of the UK due to more heavy rain expected in the coming days after Saturday’s thunderstorms. The areas covered are large parts of central and southern England as well as Wales on Sunday which subsequently stretches towards northwards and eastwards before expiring on Monday evening. Thunder, lightning, hail and rain affected various parts of the country on Saturday leading to heavy downpours in London, Wales, and Birmingham. Warning of surface water issues and travel disruptions due to heavy rain has been issued by the Met Office for Sunday. Its meteorologist Becky Mitchell stated that the start of the week will be “unsettled,” with the possibility of further localised flooding. Rain is expected to continue through northern and eastern England on Monday with the possibility of power cuts, flooding, and prolonged travel delays.

Wet and windy weather is expected to return to southern areas by Wednesday, and elsewhere it will be dry but cloudy. Calmer conditions are expected in Scotland, Northern Ireland, and areas around the Irish Sea. With cooler weather coming, a change of wardrobe will soon be inevitable for all of us as autumn starts on Wednesday leading to a dip in temperature across Britain
