Man, 18, charged with triple murder in Luton tower block

An 18-year-old man is facing murder charges after the police found three people dead in a tower block in Luton on Friday. Bedfordshire Police said the suspect, Nicholas Prosper from Leabank, was apprehended on the same day after the bodies of a woman named Juliana Prosper together with two teenagers identified as Kyle Prosper and Giselle Prosper, were discovered. However, formal identification is yet to take place.

In addition to the murder charge, Nicholas is also facing several firearm offences, and will appear at Luton Magistrates’ Court on the 16th of September. According to reports, the police were called to the Leabank block of flats, in the Marsh Farm area of Luton, around 5:30 BST on Friday, where they found three people with fatal injuries. Soon after, the police arrested Nicholas, and a firearm was discovered during a search of the surrounding area.

Det Supt Rob Hall, from the region’s major crime unit, stated that officers who arrived at the scene were “met with such awful circumstances.” He emphasised that the police would maintain a presence at the tower block while the investigation continues. He also requested that the privacy of Juliana, Kyle, and Giselle’s next of kin be respected as they go through this unimaginably difficult time.

Although the police have not confirmed the relationship between the victims and the suspect, the circumstances surrounding the case suggest that they are related. Additionally, it is still unclear what led up to the shooting, but the police have launched an investigation into the matter
