A pair of teenage boys are facing murder charges following the fatal stabbing of a 13-year-old boy in his own home. Jahziah Coke passed away after being attacked on Lovett Avenue in Oldbury, West Midlands. A man in his 40s who was arrested at a later point is also facing a charge of helping a criminal to evade justice. All three have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court in the near future.
Jahziah’s mother paid tribute to him, calling him a “polite, kind and family-orientated young man.” She went on to describe her son as “very loving and always smiling. His smile would light up the room.” Two teenage boys, whose identities and ages are being withheld on account of their youth, were arrested on Sunday. It is not clear whether either of the teenagers actually knew Jahziah.
