Post Malone says baby daughter saved his life after he was “on a rough path”

Post Malone has revealed the impact his daughter has had on his life in an interview with CBS Sunday Morning. He keeps his two-year-old daughter’s name private and has her initials tattooed on his forehead. Post Malone’s country-inspired sixth studio album, F-1 Trillion, features a song called ‘Yours’. The track sees him imagine his daughter’s wedding day. He shared that he had “written a whole lot of songs” about his only child. “It changes your life in the best way ever,” he shared. “I’ll never forget her. If you’ve heard her cry, you’ll never forget her, either.”

During the interview, the musician also spoke about his previous struggles with loneliness. Post Malone referred to a “rough path” before finding his current partner, whom he calls the “number one mom in the fucking universe”. He admitted he used to break down in tears and drink frequently. However, he stated that he doesn’t feel like that anymore and that it’s the most amazing thing. He added that he “needed to” go through those experiences to “figure out” who he is.

Post Malone also appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast in 2023, where he spoke about his reduced drinking. He explained that he tries to take better care of his body as he doesn’t want to miss out on his daughter growing up.

Post Malone’s upcoming album, F-1 Trillion, features collaborations with a variety of country stars, including Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, and Chris Stapleton. Other artists feature on the album, such as Hank Williams Jr., Brad Paisley, Lainey Wilson, and Sierra Ferrell. The album will be released on August 16, and it is available for pre-order/pre-save
