Alt-rap star Denzel Curry has apologised to fans for pulling out of a recent Korn show in London due to losing his voice. Despite planning to take to the stage with earlier performers such as Loathe and Spiritbox, Curry felt he wouldn’t be able to offer a good enough performance and didn’t want to risk further injury. He announced on Instagram stories that he plans to make it up to his fans at the 2024 edition of Reading & Leeds.
Korn’s show at London’s Gunnersbury Park last night was their biggest UK show to date and marked the final gig in a trio of huge summer 2024 shows the nu-metal band had announced in January. Their setlist included massive hits such as ‘Freak On A Leash’, ‘Y’All Want A Single’, and ‘Blind’, and brief renditions of Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You’ and Metallica’s ‘One’ during ‘Coming Undone’ and ‘Shoots And Ladders’.
Curry will perform at the 2024 edition of Reading & Leeds having been announced among 50 other acts added to the line-up earlier this year. Headliners for the 2024 festival will include Liam Gallagher, Lana Del Rey, Blink-182, and Catfish & The Bottlemen and runs from August 21 to 25.
