Carpenter teased the crowd by saying that Musgraves would not appear unless the audience was loud. When Musgraves appeared, the duo performed a cover of Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made For Walkin’”. Carpenter also wore a sash that read “I’m headlining bitch” and did a medieval-inspired encore for her song “Nonsense”.
Carpenter’s upcoming album “Short N’ Sweet” will be released on August 23 via Island Records. During her Outside Lands set, Carpenter played the new single “Slim Pickins”. This was recently debuted with Jack Antonoff by a performance at the Grammy Museum. In addition to the new album, Carpenter also announced the “Short N’ Sweet Tour” for 2025 across Europe and the UK. The tour starts off in Dublin on March 3 followed up by shows in Birmingham, London and Manchester. She will visit Berlin, Brussels, and Paris followed by her final performance at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam on March 23. Rachel Chinouriri will be joining her as the support act.
