A man, aged 40, has died following a car crash in Doncaster which occurred on Marshland Road, Moorends, at 16:45 BST on 9th August. The police attended the scene and said that the collision involved a blue Volkswagen Touran, while mentioning that anyone who has witnessed the incident or obtained footage should come forward to help with their investigation. They also revealed that a passenger in the car, a 46-year-old man, was severely injured and treated at the hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

According to a spokesperson from the South Yorkshire Police, the accident occurred as a result of the car leaving the road just before the junction with The Avenue, and colliding with a parked car on the road before coming to a halt in the garden of a nearby property. There are no reports yet as to the cause of the crash and the driver of the car has not yet been named.

The Police are requesting that anyone with information regarding the accident to come forward at their earliest convenience and they also emphasised the importance of ensuring all vehicles are driven in a safe and responsible manner in order to avoid incidents such as this.
