Chappell Roan, a musician known for her unique voice and thought-provoking lyrics recently made history at Lollapalooza 2024. The Chicago festival was held on August 1st, and Roan gave an outstanding performance that attracted a massive crowd. The audience was so huge, it got people talking on social media platforms, with videos and photos showing them packed out in the main stage at Grant Park.

Although it’s difficult to confirm the actual number of people who attended Roan’s set at Grant Park, a spokesperson for Lollapalooza has confirmed that Roan’s performance was “the biggest daytime set we’ve ever seen. It was a magical moment added to Lolla’s DNA.” Two sources close to Roan and Lollapalooza also allegedly told CNN that Roan’s set attracted attendance numbers rivaling most headliners and could potentially be one of the most watched sets at Lollapalooza ever. The festival boasted a daily attendance of 110,000 fans in Chicago this year.

Roan, who is also the current NME cover star, has been open about the challenges of her sudden rise to fame. She expressed her desire to “pump the brakes” on fame after experiencing “stalker vibes” from fans, who followed her and knew personal information about her and her family. In a recent podcast episode, Roan said, “This is the time when a few years ago when I said that if [there were] stalker vibes or my family was in danger, I would quit. And we’re there. We’re there! I’m just kind of in this battle… I’ve pumped the brakes on, honestly, anything to make me more known. It’s kind of a forest fire right now. I’m not trying to go do a bunch of shit.”

Apart from her musical career, Roan recently made a crossover into the wrestling world and caused a stir online during her performance at Lollapalooza 2024. She wore Lucha Libre attire that prompted wrestlers and fans to react, praising her outfit and her impressive stage presence. Roan’s debut studio album, ‘The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess,’ which contains some of her best work, was released last September, and it’s been a fan favorite ever since
