A man is in critical condition following an attack at the Reggae Land festival in Milton Keynes on Sunday evening. The incident happened around 8:50pm at the Milton Keynes Bowl venue. Thames Valley Police received statements from witnesses and confirmed that forensic examinations and CCTV enquiries are underway. A spokesperson for the police said that the attack appeared to be “targeted” and emphasized that there was “no risk to festivalgoers or the wider public”.

Medical professionals attended the scene, and the injured man was transported to the hospital with stab wounds. The festival took place over the weekend of August 3 and 4, with artists such as Shabba Ranks and Koffee performing. Thames Valley Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. They have also confirmed that they are working closely with the event organizers and their security team to thoroughly investigate the attack.

Reggae Land has yet to release a statement about the incident. Mixmag has contacted them for comment.

This is not the first incident of violence at a UK music festival this summer. There were a string of violent attacks at the Strawberries & Creem festival, also held in June at the Milton Keynes Bowl. Last month, a man was killed and several others injured in a stabbing attack at the Parklife festival in Manchester.
