The Blessed Madonna has unveiled details of her forthcoming debut album, ‘Godspeed’, which is set to be released on October 11. Its title track, developed in collaboration with DJ E-Clyps, is already available to stream. The album contains twenty-four individual tracks that pay tribute to club music, aiming to strike a balance between “rave and religion” by exploring various feelings from sadness to happiness.
‘Godspeed’ is a project packed with collaborations, featuring some of the music industry’s most prominent names, including Joy Anonymous, Kylie Minogue, A-Trak, Jamie Principle, and Joy Crookes. The album’s creative direction was handled by Sports Banger, who worked tirelessly in combining their technical expertise with Madonna’s unique artistic voice to create something entirely new.
Madonna explains how her father’s untimely death weeks before the album’s first session influenced the recording. However, his voice will live forever in ‘Godspeed’, and his legacy will undoubtedly touch everyone who hears it. She also explains how working with Sports Banger allowed her to articulate her ideas in more profound and visually striking ways, which gave her relief and vindication as an artist.
