£25.49Sam Fender delighted fans at his recent Boardmasters show by previewing two never before heard tracks live. The Geordie played ‘People Watching’ and ‘Nostalgia’s Lie’ at Plymouth Pavilions, and both songs will appear on his upcoming third album.
‘People Watching’ sees Fender comment on those around him, reflecting that he is envious of their glimmer of hope. Meanwhile, ‘Nostalgia’s Lie’ appears to be about Fender returning to his hometown. The track speaks of the pain and difficulty of being back in a place associated with those who are no longer there.
Since the release of soulful track ‘Iris’ earlier this year, Fender has had a busy few months. He recently teamed up with Noah Kahan for ‘Homesick’ and teased new music with The War On Drugs frontman Adam Granduciel. Fender has issued a statement saying that he is excited to release his upcoming third album at his own pace, taking the time he needs to make it perfect for his fans.
Fender has also teased more live performances following on from the positive reviews of his Boardmasters and Plymouth Pavilions shows. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of his new material and are looking forward to hearing more at his upcoming concerts
