Beyond The Music, a new music festival based in Manchester, has revealed the second wave of its line-up ahead of the three-day event taking place from October 9 to 12 this year. The festival will take over the Northern Quarter district of the city and will feature a wide range of stage curators, including BBC Introducing, Manchester Pride, Nice Swan Records, and From Manchester to Palestine, which will invite artists from various music genres.
To support Manchester New Tastemakers, Beyond The Music has partnered with local promoter and touring agency Greyline and offered two young promoters the chance to programme their own stage across the three days. New artists are added to the line-up regularly, and the full programming can be found on the festival’s official website.
Founder Oli Wilson said that the festival aims to support new talent in music as there is a revolution pending in music and the broad range of artists and genres represented at the event reflects that. Speaking about the festival, Wilson said, “It’s not just about the artists and the venues; it’s about the place too. I think people are really going to enjoy exploring the Northern Quarter and venues over the three days. Our festival map contains some of the best and most interesting music spaces in the world.”
Beyond The Music has also announced some updates to its conference schedule and a list of speakers and guests for the event, which is scheduled to run in parallel at nearby Aviva Studios. The full event delegate pass, which includes conference and festival access, is priced at £170, but tickets are also available for each festival day at £20, with a full three-day ticket starting from £40.
