Brighton Pride held last August 3 witnessed a special performance from Girls Aloud and Olly Alexander. Alexander joined the group onstage for a rendition of ‘The Loving Kind’, which was last performed in 2009. The group also performed Alexander’s hit ‘King’, as well as ‘Material Girl’, a Madonna cover. To cap off their set, Girls Aloud performed ‘Watch Me Go’ for the first time in 15 years.

The audience of around 300,000 enjoyed the performances from the girl group, which saw them appear in coordinated, gold outfits. The performance was part of Brighton’s annual Pride event, with Girls Aloud headlining on the first day.

Girls Aloud, who had their first live performances in 10 years, made numerous tributes to member Sarah Harding who passed away due to breast cancer in 2021. Girls Aloud’s reunion tour has been highly anticipated since it was announced. The group’s setlist at Brighton Pride included some of their biggest hits such as ‘Love Machine’, ‘Biology’, ‘Call the Shots’, and ‘Jump (For My Love)
