After months of delays and a lot of buildup, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have finally released “VULTURES 2.” The album is the second instalment of the duo’s ‘VULTURES’ series, with the first album dropping in February this year. Despite the album’s promising potential, the reception so far has been mixed. Some fans are frustrated with West’s penchant for album delays and tweets like, “Kanye when it comes to dropping albums in the middle of the night without warning,” accompanied by a video of basketball player LeBron James celebrating.
Some social media users stated that society has passed the need for a new Kanye album, and one fan even tweeted, “kanye fucking ruined sky city im gonna kill myself.” They were referring to West’s long awaited track ‘Sky City,’ reportedly recorded during his ‘Yandhi’ sessions that received lukewarm reactions from fans, leaving some to suspect West may have used AI.
Another song on the album, ‘530,’ was first revealed on an early tracklist for ‘Donda 2’ back in 2022. Although this song features a Drake diss, fans noticed the song – and its mumbled outro – was suspiciously unchanged. Meanwhile, others reacted to West’s children North and Chicago guest verse on the song ‘BOMB’, stating they were rapping in Japanese. Some fans praised their bilingual skills, with a popular streamer looking confused, and others labelled the track as “ass.”
Overall, the reception to ‘VULTURES 2’ has been mixed. Some fans are loving the album, while others are unconvinced. Nonetheless, fans eagerly anticipated the album, with the first album receiving high praise from critics and fans alike. Fans are also interested to see if the VULTURES series will continue and what West will drop next
