PinkPantheress has cancelled the rest of her tour dates for 2024 due to health reasons. In an Instagram story posted on August 1, the up-and-coming pop star shared that she needs to “focus on my physical health and overall wellbeing.” The cancelled dates include sets at festivals Field Day and Summer Sonic, as well as opening slots on Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Guts’ tour in the US and Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres’ tour in Australia and New Zealand.
“I would like to thank all of you, as well as my touring team and Olivia for giving me the platform to perform some super fun shows,” PinkPantheress said. “I’m sad to disappoint anyone and can only hope we will be in each other’s company once I return to health.” Concertgoers previously reported that PinkPantheress withdrew from Rodrigo’s tour due to health issues.
Last month, PinkPantheress revealed that she will be releasing new music “soon.” In an interview around the same time, she admitted that she doesn’t listen to albums. “I just listen to songs. That’s why when it came to my own album, I was like, do people care about tracklisting? I couldn’t believe it,” she said on Kids Take Over.
After some music fans had criticized her statement, she tweeted, “there is no right or wrong way to consume or make music. It’s people trying to say there is that stops people from enjoying + creating art in whichever form they want. Who cares if i listen to albums in full lol. it’s music, it’s meant to be unique to everyone.
