Fans think lyric on new Charli XCX and Billie Eilish ‘Guess’ remix is a Taylor Swift diss

Charli XCX and Billie Eilish have collaborated on a new remix of the ‘Guess’ track on the deluxe edition of Charli XCX’s ‘Brat’ album. The track was co-produced by The Dare and Finneas, and features Eilish adopting her whispered style for the suggestive dance track. The song was also released along with an Aidan Zamiri-directed music video which shows Charli and The Dare holding a party in a living room, before Eilish bulldozes her way in through the wall.

The song lyrics towards the end are causing speculation among fans that it might be a jab towards fellow pop icon Taylor Swift. The lyrics read “You wanna guess what me and Billie have been textin’ about? (You’ve been disrespectful)/ Still tryin’ to guess the password to my Google Drive (Are you obsessed with me?)/ You wanna guess the address of the party we’re at (You really are not invited)”. Fans speculate that it is a diss track towards Swift since she blocked both Eilish and Charli from the number one spot on the charts.

Charli XCX saw herself being accused of making shady comments about Swift, with her song ‘Sympathy Is A Knife’ having a line about not wanting to see Swift backstage at her boyfriend’s show. The line was perceived as being about the singer as Charli is engaged to the 1975’s George Daniels and Swift had a brief romance with the band’s frontman Matty Healy.

The collaboration between Eilish and Charli comes just a week after Charli revealed that there is more new music on the way. According to op-eds she claims that her wildly successful ‘Brat’ summer is not coming to an end yet. Eilish, on the other hand, has become the youngest artist to have reached 100 million monthly Spotify listeners, and the third artist overall to achieve the milestone.

In summary, while their collaboration is being well-received by fans, there are speculations that a certain line in the song might be throwing shade to another artist. However, the two artists have not confirmed this interpretation to be true
