Emma Myers, who plays the cheerful werewolf Enid in the hit Netflix show Wednesday, has teased fans with insights into the highly anticipated second season of the series. Myers spoke to Teen Vogue, expressing excitement for the season ahead: “There are lots of new adventures that we all go on. I love the scripts this season, they’re so fun! I think people should be ready for a good time.” While Myers had to remain tight-lipped about specifics, she did confirm that new cast members Billie Piper and Steve Buscemi were fantastic additions to the project.
Myers, who is currently starring in Netflix’s new show, A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder, says that she feels she has more in common with the character Pip than Enid: “I’m not as smart as Pip is, but our personalities are somewhat similar, so I felt a connection with her when I read the books.” The new series is an adaptation of the novel by Holly Jackson, which is especially popular on BookTok. In the show, Myers’ character opts, for her end-of-sixth-form project, to investigate the murder of a former student Andie Bell at her school five years ago.
The second season of Wednesday has broken records as the largest production ever shot in Ireland, with Taoiseach Simon Harris visiting the set to meet series director Tim Burton and showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. Speaking to Variety, Harris said: “I’m delighted to see Ireland continues to be chosen as a location to film series and movies which supports our economy, creates jobs, showcases our creative talents and promotes our country on a global stage.” The season is expected to release on the streaming platform by late 2024 or early 2025.
Myers is currently starring in A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder, while rumors swirl about a potential third season of Wednesday after Netflix ordered 16 new books featuring the character. Fans will be excited to see what the latest season of Wednesday brings to the table, with Myers’ interview giving viewers a taste of the fun and excitement to come.
