Zooey Deschanel has revealed the extent to which she was abused by members of the public over her titular role in the romantic comedy 500 Days Of Summer. Speaking in an interview with Heart to promote her new film Harold And The Purple Crayon, Deschanel explained that people would confront her on the street, calling her “such a bitch, Summer!” The actress has frequently defended her character, whom many viewers perceived to be the villain of the story for rejecting what appeared to be a perfect romance.
