Rapper Killer Mike has surprised fans by releasing his new album, ‘Michael And The Mighty Midnight Revival – Songs for Sinners & Saints’, for free. The album features Killer Mike’s gospel group, The Mighty Midnight Revival, along with appearances from Offset, Key Glock, Project Pat, and others. Despite being set for an official release on August 2, fans can download the 10-track album for free, within 48 hours of the surprise release on July 31.

In a Run The Jewels newsletter, Killer Mike expressed his appreciation and gratitude, saying, “This past decade has seen so many of my dreams come true, and the support I’ve received this past year with ‘MICHAEL’ has been so beautiful and inspiring that I realized I wasn’t finished with the sound.” He went on to explain that he wanted to make a project with the people who had been bringing his music to life on stage, leading to the creation of the new album.

Killer Mike’s latest single, ‘Humble Me’, which chronicles his February 2024 arrest at the Grammy Awards, is also featured on the album. Despite being initially charged with misdemeanour battery, the city’s Attorney’s Office later decided not to pursue any criminal charges. Instead, the Run The Jewels star was required to complete community service. Killer Mike’s ‘Down By Law Tour’ across the UK and Europe is set to begin soon, with remaining tickets available through Ticketmaster.

Previously speaking to NME about the prior album, ‘Michael’, Killer Mike stated that it was necessary for people to fully understand who he was. The rapper went on to describe how Covid-19 caused him to think deeply about his life and how he wanted to be remembered, leading to the creation of ‘Michael And The Mighty Midnight Revival – Songs for Sinners & Saints.’ This latest album is only available for free for a limited period, so fans are encouraged to download it immediately via the link provided
