Snoop Dogg, the well-known rapper and star, has joined the ranks of NBC correspondents reporting on the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. One of Snoop’s most recent segments has him taking swimming lessons from the greatest Olympian of all time, Michael Phelps. In a video posted to Twitter, Snoop Dogg can be seen learning the correct pool technique from Phelps and even comparing his physique with the US swimming legend. Although it seems as though Snoop may need a few more lessons before he becomes a true swimming star, his appearance at the games has already caused quite a stir.
Last week, Snoop Dogg carried the Olympic torch through Paris, decked out in an all-white tracksuit and gold trainers. Snoop has always been a longtime sports enthusiast and fan of the Olympics, and his presence at the games has been welcomed by many. He has been keeping his Twitter followers updated with plenty of Olympic content, including pictures of himself posing with Michael Phelps and other Olympic athletes.
Speaking of other Olympic athletes, Beyoncé recently introduced members of the US Olympic team in a promotional video at the start of the games. Dressed in a USA-branded white bodysuit, blue cowboy hat, and white cowboy boots, Beyoncé hyped up several high-profile athletes, including Simone Biles, Sha’Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles, Caeleb Dressel, and Katie Ledecky. The video was soundtracked by her recent single “YA YA.”
The Paris Olympics kicked off on July 26 and since then, the games have been packed with memorable performances and events. From a divisive opening ceremony that featured a show-stopping Celine Dion and a pre-recorded Lady Gaga, to Taylor Swift reacting to her track “…Ready For It?” being used in an NBC advert for the Games, there has been no shortage of Olympic excitement.
